Dr. Elizabeth G. Ligon
Dr. Elizabeth G. Ligon is a native South Carolinian and received her Bachelor’s degree at Presbyterian College. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Upon graduation, she completed a one-year residency in primary care with an emphasis in ocular disease at the Memphis VA Medical Center. In 2015, Dr. Ligon was hired as an associate optometrist by Dr. George Walters, Jr., and later purchased the practice from him in 2021. Dr. Ligon is an active member of the West Tennessee Optometric Physicians Society, the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association. She and her husband Matt have one daughter, Lily.
